DemonPower Update

hey all
it is time that i going post this update so all users know what our plans are with demonpower

as you probaly already noticed , it isnt going to good with demonpower

the most killing part are the developers ( i do not say that they are bad , but its just killing me)

i got certain server costs and certain things to manage , sadly enouf i started over a couple times already with demonpower and i am kinda tired of managing all the stuff and fix all the problems because certain developers got no time left or can not fix the problems that we are having

there are a few more reasons to
so i like to know from this community what we need to do

There is 1 little thing
because of the high server cost do i need to raise up a little amount to keep the demonpower server alive

for the users who are intrested
the demonpower server itself is 130€ per month (including zero , eo , and a few other vps servers that never got the time to get live )

now what i do need to kow

i first need to be sure that i can get a developer who is willing to spend a bit of time on demonpower , so it can be online

if that fails then its over

it is hard to find a developer , and that makes this so hard , good staff is hard to find to (depends what you call good ofcourse)

so far we have good developers , but there are some other problems that prevents them from doing there work ..

now this is where you can choose out to deside what will happen with demonpower


i was thinking about starting up a web based game like ogame ( OGame Homepage ) or Mafia Wars ( Welcome to Mafia Wars )

i got already a few scripts for a few differend games , and i got already a mypet script ( signature that change with XX amount of clicks or it die when you got to less clicks)

jobs are avaible for those jobs to , so we got back the same problem as start
we need developers

only difference is , i can manage them all on my own with out help , but i can not bring out big updates for them

please make a desision

do you like to keep the old demonpower ??
or do you like to enjoy the new demonpower web based games ??

It depends. I'll vote both for now. Unless the devs will be active and are knowledgeable about the game they're deving.

lets update this post so you know more about this update

first thing , i need developers who are willing to take full responsibility of the server (first needed part)

second thing , i need around 100€ for donations every month to keep both servers alive (seems a lot , but it are 3 vps servers on a dedicated server system for quality and speed and uptime)

last thing
as i see that there are 7 votes for the games , i will add those games to as special , and they will be partial managed by me , as it is easyer for me to manage those games then managing eo/zo

reason ?? eo/zo is mysql based and is differend to develop then php based scripts ( websites basicly)

now the trick part
i need to get this done before 24/08 or i will not be able to keep the servers alive

if some1 is intrested as developer and he can take care of the responsibility , then he is free to start instand at this moment
just send me a email at developer@demonpower.com and you get the info you need

keep this part in mind , as soon you send me a email you will take the FULL responsibility of demonpower , then demonpower is in your hands and if something goes wrong ... you know what will happends to you

show that you can do what you need to do and we are all be happy
if not possible , then i got no other choise then removing sadly enouf the servers at this time

i will keep a backup of the data , so if we start up again then we can start again from where we left

who i need a lot of experiences code to dev and all the programs and extensions or will you provide them?

i provide you all the programs and all needed acces
but you need to know the basic of mysql and you need to know what you do to be able to debug

as example
if you put a ~ instead - then you get a totaly differen result

if you know what utf-8 and latin-1 is then it is a start
i can only provide you acces to the vps that contains the server files and the database ( exept users ) so you can conect to the database server with the username/pass or with the username/pass you requested

not really but i want to learn to keep the server up and utf-8 is something bout uso format transforming but i hope is not harder for coding for a robot using c-rios

send me the programs and everything ill do my best to keep the Servers up. though i canot host the servers entirely so you guys will have to host them but i will do my best.
